This workshop is suitable for those wishing to learn more about how yoga can support their digestive health and for yoga teachers who wish to increase their knowledge.
This is a 2.5 hour online workshop which will explore the benefits of movement and breathwork on the digestive system. Specifically, we will discuss the impact yoga can have on symptoms of IBS, such as constipation, bloating and cramps. It will incorporate both practical and theoretical elements.
What we will cover:
- How the digestive system works
- What IBS is and what the most common symptoms are
- How yoga asana and breathwork can help specific IBS symptoms
- What postures to avoid for specific symptoms
The workshop will begin with a short introduction on the digestive system and IBS, before breaking down the dos and don’ts of certain postures when suffering from specific digestive symptoms. We will then move through a 1.5hour yoga sequence, targeted at soothing and aiding the digestive system. There will be a chance for further questions at the end.
Yoga for Digestion will take place on Zoom on Saturday 23rd January (10am – 12.30pm) and will be recorded so you have access to the content for life!
