Yoga for Digestion:
An Online Wellness Workshop
This workshop is suitable for those wishing to learn more about how yoga can support their digestive health and for yoga teachers who wish to increase their knowledge.
This is a 2 hour online workshop which will explore the benefits of movement and breath-work on the digestive system. Specifically, we will discuss the impact yoga can have on symptoms of IBS, such as constipation, bloating and cramps. It will incorporate both practical and theoretical elements.
What we will cover:
- How the digestive system works
- What IBS is and what the most common symptoms are
- How yoga asana and breath-work can help specific IBS symptoms
- What postures to avoid for specific symptoms
This online course begins with a short introduction to the digestive system and IBS, before breaking down the dos and don’ts of certain postures when suffering from specific digestive symptoms. We will then move through a 1.5 hour yoga sequence, targeted at soothing and aiding the digestive system.
